Sheet Pan Sliders

After reading One Day You’ll Thank Me by Cameran Eubanks Wimberly, we were hungry for some “drive-thru”style fare… Queen Cam is all about no-hassle cooking, so we took a page from her book and made one-pan sheet sliders. Ooey gooey cheese, onions, and tender beef on top of sweet King’s Hawaiian Rolls. What could possibly be better?

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground pepper
  • 3 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 small white onion, diced
  • 6 slices cheese (we like cheddar)
  • 12 slider rolls (Kings Hawaiian recommended)
  • 2 tbs melted butter
  • 1 tbs sesame seeds

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and slice the rolls in half; set aside
  • In a large bowl combine the beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder
  • Place the beef into a 9×13 inch baking dish and press down so that it is flat and even; Bake for 20 minutes
  • Once the beef has cooked, remove from the oven and drain the liquid; Remove the beef and set aside
  • Place the bottom half of the rolls at the bottom of the baking dish; Place the cooked beef on top along with the onions and cheese
  • Top with the remaining half of the roll; Brush each roll with melted butter and sesame seeds
  • Bake for an additional 20 minutes, until the cheese has melted!
