Paloma Granita

*Makes two luscious cups of granita


  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 lime, zested
  • 1 cup of grapefruit juice
  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup triple sec


  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, sugar, and lime zest; Stir until the sugar dissolves
  • Pour the sugar mixture into an 8×8 glass baking dish; Stir in the grapefruit juice, tequila, and triple sec
  • Place the dish flat in the freezer; After 1 hour, take the dish out of the freezer and fluff the granita with a fork. Place back in the freezer for another hour. Repeat this step 2 more times until the granita has formed
