It was honestly hard to pick just ONE recipe for Wild Game by Adrienne Brodeur, because the characters enjoy so many delicious creations. We love the idea of celebrating life, which Malabar often does with a cocktail, but also wanted to incorporate the innocence Ren’s childhood with a scoop of ice cream.
So why is the name of this sinfully delicious concoction “Two Scoops Sir”? we’re so glad you asked. If you know one thing about our family, it’s probably that we’re 100%, certifiably, head-over-heels OBSESSED with Home Alone, and Home Alone 2. In the classic 1992 sequel, when Kevin has settled comfortably into his Herbert Hoover suite at the Plaza Hotel, his room service butler asks “two scoops sir?” while assembling a mountain of ice cream. To which Kevin, ever so cool, answers “two scoops? make it three, I’m not driving!” HOWEVER, in this case, you will ACTUALLY not want to drive after this creamy mixture of sweet icy booze.
