Phoebe Miller’s Lazy Truffles

Phoebe Miller in The Other Mrs. Miller is known for boozing by the pool, and watching television all day (honestly, aspirational). So in support of her lazy behavior, we have created a lazy version of a truffle.

This quick treat requires six ingredients, most of which are probably already in your kitchen, anddd they are no bake! My sister and I played around with different toppings, including crushed cereal, rainbow sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, cocoa powder and sea salt (our fav). But you can really make these your own, and use what you have. I also like the idea of making these an “occasion treat” i.e using crushed candy cane for the holidays, orange candy melts for Halloween – you get the picture.

  • 2 cups of brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Optional – sprinkles, cocoa powder, mini chocolate chips, sea salt for decorating

  • In a large mixing bowl, sift the brownie mix and flour
  • Add the milk, softened butter, and vanilla extract
  • Using an electric mixer, blend all ingredients together until smooth
  • Place mixture in fridge for 15 min (this is going to make it easier for the balls to hold their shape when you roll them)
  • Remove the truffle mixture from fridge and using a tablespoon begin scooping out your truffles
  • Once all of the truffles are formed, melt your chocolate chips in the microwave in 20 second intervals; stir the chocolate between each
  • Dip each truffle ball into the melted chocolate and cover decorate with toppings immediately
  • Once all of the truffles are decorated, place them back in the fridge to chill for 15 minutes before serving
